Fire Across The Street

Image
Hola Mis Amigos!  Here are the crazy stories from this week: My companion tried to save a dragonfly from dying. She took it in the car with us and put it in a box in the house. It died the next morning :( it was an adventure tho I love my comp and her crazy ideas A house caught on fire right across the street from our basement apartment. It looked terrible. We came home at 9pm and the firefighters were outside so we walked up and asked if anyone needed a prayer but they said that the family went to the hotel already.  I reeeeealy want to go to Machu Pichu when I have the money but our friends from Perú told me that I have to eat güy there which is a cooked guinea pig. They asked if they sold any here and I said "maybe at the pet store" They have some sort of quail farms here in Tremonton? I have no idea  And here is how the missionary work is going: Oh yeah  Gloria said no to Baptism. She went to an activity in the Catholic Church and she decided she would rather sta...

"Can You Cut My Fingernails?" Yes!!

Hi! I realized that maybe I should go back to updating the email every night because that was way way easier than today lol  I love that service gets to follow me. We got asked if we can help lay down sod for a friend. And then, we returned a vase to Sister Firth (she made it home from the hospital!) And she asked us out of the blue if we can help her cut her nails. She doesn't have strength in her hand to do it. We of course did, and she gave us some mitts for the winter. I grabbed an extra pair because me and my companion have the feeling that we are going to have another Hermana join us for the companionship next transfer. But that's Chisme, and it could be false.  We had a very important lesson with Gloria. In the lesson, I felt like i was being washed clean inside. Probably the most interesting manifestación of the spirit (personally). She asked us if she can go back to the catholic Church. We told her that she can visit of course, but to be baptized we take upon ourselve...

Hola Hola!!  we had to walk in a super wet parade but it was fun! Transfers went almost smooth. As Hermana Villareal went into the shuttle down to Ogden I realized that she took the car keys with her!! The shuttle guy (Mr. White the GOAT) drove all the way back and wa s able to get us our keys. We sat there in the chapel for almost 2 hours but it wasn't a big deal.  We got Hermana Bastian's TIWI (just in time before I can't use my tiwi anymore)  Maria Tapia is getting Married!! They have been taught for many years and have been invited many times to be baptized but the one thing that held them up was that they didn't want to be married. When she told us, I was filled with so much joy knowing that they have made that decision on their own and that I was able to witness this miracle. We are going to invite them to be baptized next week after the wedding!  Cleaning the Firths House (I LOVE service!) Sister Firth was hospitalized and the daughter called us asking if we c...

Planting Seeds, Pruning The Vineyard

This story is going to expose me so hard but It's too good not to share  So I sleep talk sometimes and apparently my companion told me I was beatboxing in my sleep and so she was like "Hermana....Hermana..." repeating the same thing so that I would stop and so apparently once I heard I started to say sorry a couple of times. But then a few moments later I started beatboxing again. I have NO  memory of this happening. We had a super cool missionary activity that we got to be apart of. I prepared a 5 minute talk about how I prepared to be a missionary and well they said it was actually 1 minute and so I rushed up there and gave a small speech but the Spirit wooshed into the room with so much strength. (I was so stoked because I love talking and being around youth) This one girl that was 17 came up to me and asked me why I chose to go on a mission (because she was considering it) but then she shared that she has some social anxiety and I was like no way me too! And I told he...
