The Celestial Kingdom

I have an opinion that this area is the Celestial kingdom when it comes to missionary work. I LOVE it here!!

We were at this lesson with a family that we are trying to gain her trust so that she would be more open to hearing the gospel again (because she had a really bad experience with elders before) and her kid is named Oliver and he totally made me excited to have a family one day. This 3 year old is so cute and was playing cars on my shoulder.

It's kind of funny, a lot of our friends come to church, but they are busy to meet us after church! But It looked like there are a couple that are ready to be baptized, but we have a couple of things to do before then.

We has 5 stake meetings and saw a lot of English companionships. It is awesome! One was planning a baseball team and said we can bring our Venesuelan friends (they LOVE baseball/softball).

I can see that I need to get myself out there and remember names because I am most likely going to lead this area next transfer and I don't want to lose the trust that they have with my companion. It's going to be a challenge. It's not my strong suit, but who said that I can't ask for divine help? It'll be OK.

For the past 12 weeks ish I have been called almost every single week to be the chorister when we sing a hymn at the beginning of our meetings. And it came in handy! I was asked to be the chorister for these next two Sundays. And we were able to help our recent converts practice singing in the hymnbook!!

The Atonement is amazing y'all. In our new companionship, (since she's someone new) I've been noticing some patterns where I saw her do something that i'm not used to and I realized that I make negative judgments about it. But because I caught that I am starting to tackle them and keep practicing not to negate my feelings but being more curious about how she does things and accepting that I am not always going to know why. It's line upon line, Precept upon Precept. I haven't been able to change all at once, but with God I can see the progress and its BEAUTIFUL.

I want to invite y'all to listen to this talk called "Remeber Lot's wife" by Elder Holland in BYU speeches. I'll put a link so that you can listen to it. I realized that being christlike is being able to bury your weapons of war, including the ones you may use at yourself sometimes when you feel that you should've done better/feel like you failed...etc.

Have a great week! I appreciate that you get to hear my story.
