Tremonton & My Favorite Week On The Mission
You guys I made it! I'm in my favorite area in the whole mission!!
Here's why it's my favorite:
☆ The sunsets are so pretty here
☆ There's a ton of work to do but it's not overwhelming
☆ I love my companion
☆ It is so calm here, enough to feel the spirit a LOT
☆ The Stakes are so missionary minded it's insane
☆ We are going to be going to a lot of activities. fairs, international nights, rodeos, lots of missionary meetings too
☆ There's this dog named Sammy in our apartment that I absolutely LOVE and comes down to the basement and wakes us up/workouts with us/ says hi every time we come in and it brings me so much joy
I've been having an interesting experience recently when we have out lessons because the spirit is so strong that my mind is completely clear without any thoughts. It's a relief for me because I am thinking constantly whether I like it or not
As an 03'baby, it's kind of funny to see the 05' Elders coming in now. I made a meme about it if you take your eyes down the email. Hermana Groves is Training and I am so excited for her! Her companion seems awesome! I can't wait to meet her next week.
We have this really cool recent convert who has been
I am so excited for this international night that the ward is throwing. Apparently there's going to be around 400 people going to this thing, and a ton aren't going to be members! Me and Hermana Villareal have 2 dances that we got signed up for, but it's a bit scary because it'll happen 2 days after the transfer happens and I have a feeling that i'm going to be training (but we'll see!) So we got to practice today and I got to try on one of the dresses that we will be using for the dance! I am going to try to put in a video of the flower dance one (basically it's a dance where we are petals of a flower)
☆ ALSO i'm thinking about making a Nigerian booth and cooking fufu for the treat with some soup to go along with it. I found out that I can get the ingredients at Walmart! I'm stoked. I may make the district something so that they can try it before I make it.
Any ideas about what to cook missionaries? I've got my cinnamon rolls but I have a feeling that would take too long :( we have this thing coming up called a "Merrill huddle" where some english companionships that we cover get together, make a meal and then talk about how we can help each other in missionary work. I'm also really excited for that.
Here's my spiritual thought that I saw on some missionaries' story: Stop trying to control what you left in God's hands. It was kind of a slap in the face for me but an important one!
Have an awesome week! I'll give you more missionary updates later!!
