Lookin' Like A Burnt Tortilla

Hola Amigos! To explain the title, we met this guy outside who turned to his brother and said "dang you lookin' like a burnt tortilla" and i find it so funny

Today was a great week! This ward is so good at fellowshipping our friends when we don’t have set lessons. We invited Frank and David to a baptism and they went! Frank said that he felt a celestial presence there. A member came to drive them home and told them "oh by the way- bishop bought tickets to go with you to see the Tabernacle Choir in Salt lake today at 4pm" and he was like "ok! Let's do it!" We were so jealous. It was a performance about pioneer work in Latin america and that lady from encanto was there!!

It was hot this week, and to be honest I have been sick since Friday. But, we were able to find 2 new people to teach! They both seem pretty interested and we are excited for them.

We had an amazing Miracle at Church yesterday! Franks wife Majuri came to Church on Sunday! She had been praying for a month to know if she should go to church but she also had some worries that our congregation was a loud "hallelujah amen" church, but she was happy to see how calm and reverent the services were and she plans to keep going. Obispo met with us and them after church having a hello to them and after a bit of a talk, he gave us a charge to teach the restoration to them and told them that the spirit is telling him that they are ready to be baptized. We were like wow, he knows that they are elect people. They are so close to baptism!!

I have to give a shoutout to Elder Forrester because his mission has the Nacho libre house, but do you know what we have? The Napoleon dynamite house in Preston Idaho baby! Not that us hermanas will get to se it because elders cover that area. Maybe when I do a mission tour later...

Oh I forgot we had a sisters conference in eden last week. It was sweet! I really have been thinking a lot about Nephi when he trusts in God even though he is pained by jos weaknesses. I want to have that trust in the Lord.

My favorite convo moments w/my comp this week
Do you ever feel....like a plastic bag....drifting through the wind...wanting to start again?
"How about this? You train here until you die and then I greenie break Hermana Hemmingway in Tremonton" - creating a transfer board
We relate moments when we were together to past vines

I've got a really cool thought. So Hermana Groves shared with me a passage in a book given by Jeffrey R. Holland of the quorum of the 12 apostles. He was just called as an apostle and he couldn't understand how he as an apostle could do more than the savior can do in John 14. But then he realized that it could mean laterally than "creating worlds" or things like that. Jesus Christ's "mission boundaries" was about 95 miles. His service was around 3 years. That's a lot shorter than an Apostle's almost lifetime service! Looking at it this way, Apostles would be able to go to places that the Savior never was able to see. But, that goes for us missionaries too! We have the opportunity to be able to visit homes that he was never able to visit. We can touch so many lives thanks to where we are today. So hold your chin up, we are doing the Saviors work.

Have an awesome week! If you can keep me in your prayers thar I can survive this cold I would appreciate it.

Proof that I actually do see my mission president
We wear the same color to MDC now - this week's theme was green
Caught dead waiting for people to show up to english class. I promise I don't do that often
We practiced the safeguards front cover photo with two missionaries looking at one screen
As you can see Hermana Groves is one of my favorite comps
