Someone Get This Paparazzi Out Of Here

Hello my friends! Today has been a great week!!

We've been having lots of lessons with our friends this week. One of my favorite moments was with one of our friends Frank , he was in english class and he was talking about how he is "pregnant for learning English" like you have to wait wait wait for the fruits of your labors of learning English and then once it pops out then you see it. It was hilarious

I swear we are celebrities in Utah. Every other minute we get a honk at a car just so that they know that they are waving at us (or just to "support" the missionaries, idk). I think last week we got a honk from a semi truck. But even worse, on Saturday, this police car turned on on his sirens and waved at us. Ngl we got scared for a split second. There is also the casual every other car waves at you. My companion refuses to do this but it's come to a point where I habitually raise my hand up as a half wave to every car that passes by. In my opinion, they need to make a PSA on "don't honk at the missionaries" please!!

Ya know, we were just walking, I was pondering the universe, snd then my companion drops something that made me think a LOT about my life. She said along the lines of how each of us are on our own different paths and no one has reached perfection yet, nor does any person have a perfect standard of how to live something. And I realized, wow. If none of us have reached perfection yet, well the only standard we can really make is just trying to be like Jesus. Trying to come to him. That’s it! We just do what we can and he will help us through it. How beautifully merciful that is. There have been nights where I wish and pray to be the person in my blessing and just to have the blessings now. But my blessings are eternal. They are blessings meant for my existence. So, I am practicing to have the patience that Christ had and waiting for those blessings to come. Progress seems painfullt slow in an earthly standpoint, but on an Heavenly standpoint, I know that this life is short. I want his plan for me with all of my heart.

Ok 2 more things!

1) We made a list of Utah names that we have seen here. They are so wack it's hilarious

And 2) My coming home date has changed from the 28th to a week before, the day before Thanksgiving. They didn't tell me, I only saw it when I was looking at my mission calendar lol. So yeah! It somos in waves of shock for some odd reason.

Que tenga una linda Semana! Have a great week!
Hermana Vestel

(Also I don't know if he will see this email but shout out to Elder Ellsworth for finishing his mission and making it home!!)
