Come Back With A Warrant

Hola! Felicidades! Buckle up, you're in for a story this week

Well, We started the week (Sunday) with our lesson with the Pima family, right? Well that was the only nonmember lesson we had this week. We had 6 lessons cancel on us without any answers about rescheduling. But you guys, yes that is bad and it's dissapointing, but man, I can't even tell you how great it is that I am not sitting here beating myself up for it because I KNOW that we did everything we could. Honestly it's the first time in this mission that I have been able to get to that point.

We went to go exercise on Wednesday and I was on the pull up bar with the green band and I went up and WHAM! I hit my head on a wooden beam that was just above the bar. I had a really big headache for 2 days but i'm feeling okay now. I have decided that I am a lot more prone to injury on my misison than I was before (except for that swim concussion lol jkjk) so I gotta be more careful.

So you know that stake president that thought that our Spanish ward was too devicive? Well we decided to go to the correlation meeting (even though on the itinerary the english elders were going to speak the whole time and not us) but then, in the meeting, this stake president invited us to speak for 5 minutes at the end!! Internally I was like YESSSSS he is actually considering us and it went well! We need their help the most to identify latinos in their stake because we can't do anything without knowing where the Latinos are.

I've been doing this thing where I pray every day to find someone that needs our love today and when we do, I feel so much happier because we were able to help them! Then I can count the blessings for the doors that we do get to enter.

The mission is trying to being English and Spanish together so that we don't hate each other (because the work is so different and the things they do don't exactly help us out) so we were assigned to do service with English Elders and it was great! We cleaned up some bird cages at the nature center and created a craft. One of the Elders had a list of Utah English Names that he found on area book. My favorite is either SSSST (pronounced Forest) or Basil Curry.

We also found some Doormats that are HILARIOUS and one of them said "come back with a warrant" in that pretty calligraphy font. I'll attatch some pictures don't worry.

No updates on our STL. We only saw her in a roleplay and it seems like she moved on so my and my companion decided to move on as well. We'll talk about it if a difficult situation comes up again.

Yall, I am so glad I didn't send this email Sunday Afternoon. We got a reference about some grandparents want their children to be baptized and so we went a couple of hours later and we found them! Alisha was there and told us that she wants to be baptized and we set a date for March 18th!! I am sooooo happy. The first reference we recieved from the ward was a golden ticket!!

Okay, sorry for writing your ear off, this is the last thing I promise. Elder Pearson came to visit the misison. Everyone was stressing because we KNOW that he was going to rebuke us. Well, he came, we heard his wife speak, he had us stand up to stretch. Then out of nowhere he said "Looks like you're not focused. If you don't care, we can end this early and you can walk out right now. I did not spend these couple of hours preparing this mesaage if you aren't ready for it". All of us were shocked. We took a minute to open our hearts and it was a misison changing experience. He shared with us so many things and as we left that meeting, we were ready to sewk and expect miracles. At the end of the tour, president holley sent a message to the mission saying: "We are extremely excited to embark on tjis new "leg" of the journey with you. Please prepare for lift-off"

That's all folks! Prepare for lift off and expect to hear some miracles in this new jouney and path for my misison, and the mission as a whole.
