The Time Has Come - I Am Transferring
Buenas Tardes! I hope all of you had a great Christmas. Thank you for your support and love here in this Christmas Season.
I am going to have to keep this email short because we were given a big present last night, our transfer board! After being in J2 for the past 6 months of my whole mission, I am officially transfering to MT. Lewis! I know that this is going to be a big change for me, I know that there is a wise purpose in it and I know that I need the change. I am going to miss the people that I have met here, but I know that J2 in good hands with my Companion Hermana Dababneh.
We had our Christmas Zone conference and it was my favorite so far. A few months ago I had a dream where I saw the face of Jesus Christ and he said "Teach them about Jesus Christ" and I was pondering that dream for a while. I felt like I could share a few things about him, but I know I didn't know as much as I should. At this conference, our mission is doing a 100 days with christ where we are reading Matthew through John and 3rd Nephi. Every day we study and ponder his names and we work on one or a few to try so that we can be more like him and understand Him and the full picture. This is exactly what I needed to fulfill those dream and I am so excited for it!!
We did service on Christmas Eve and Christmas day, but we got to have Christmas dinners with members. I loved it a lot. Being with a family even though it's not my own, having good food, listening to songs about Christ, but really the best thing of all was how much christ was centered in those few days. He is the light of this season. We had to be home by 8pm and on Christmas Eve we had a movie night. I got to watch Arthur Christmas! I love that movie so much. I really like the message it brings. He is sitting on the beach, the sleigh went haywire, and his Grandpa confessed that he was trying to be the santa he used to be, not trying to help one child get their Christmas present. But then Arthur realized that it doesn't matter who gets the present to her and how it gets there, but that she gets to wake up and see that the present came and that Santa Cares. I personally can relate to that. No matter what part of my mission I am at, I know that I did my best if they know that we care about them and Christ loves them.
Did crazy things happen this week? Yes. We had to file a Police Report on Eddy yesterday. We were walking home and Eddy shows up from the shadows and smashes a glass bottle in front of us, and immediately we stop, drop and run the other way. We made it safely to a friend's house and eventually he was gone. We are safe, things are ok for now.
Angeli, Kevin and Angel had their baptism this week! President and Sister Holley came to the Baptism and Sister holley was tearing up because Angel (the 8 year old son) was so sweet. He was really excited to be baptized
I have to say goodbye to the cello now but I got a uke! If you have any uke songs please send them my way!
