Hey Guys!

There was an adorable primary program this Sunday and the kids were so adorable! I love the testimonies they give in song. Some of our nonmember families came and their kids got to participate too!

The gang

We met a group of 5 guys from Honduras and all of them are so Elect and so ready for the gospel! Right before we knocked on their door apparently their landlord came out and started to throw all of their things outside because they were 1 day late in paying their rent. Not even 30 minutes later we knock on their door and we shared a message and all of them loved our message. Every time we have a lesson with them they are so interested and in their hearts all of them want to come closer to christ. Carlos is moving to Plano Texas though so we gave him a copy of The Book of Mormon and we are going to make sure the missionaries keep in contact with them.

Lost confidence

So I had a really embarrassing door contact. He opened the door and said "hello? And I froze and said "hi! We are...actually what's your name?" and he said "you are...." basically bullying me for what I said for no reason and it was funny now but I was really embarrassed. Unfortunately I let it spiral and now I'm at ground 0 for confidence in teaching and door contacts. I haven't figured out how to build it up again so if you have any advice let me know!

We ran into eddy again.

We were on our way to church and something interesting about Utah is on Sundays there are very little people driving, or really outside. It is quite an interesting view of the day of rest. Anyways, we were walking and we saw Eddy again. To give some Context, Eddy is a guy that is always on drugs and the past interactions was us running from him because he likes to run after us. On a past lesson in my training, we were teaching someone, he came up to us (luckily there was a fence between us) and gave some not so good references to us and walked away. So when I saw him we immediately turned around and speedwalked enough that he couldn't follow us anymore. I don't think that will be the last time we will see him, but I know that the Lord is watching over us.

Canning peaches

I found a really cool quote that I thought I would share with you: "If you really believe that God expects you to can peaches then you must can all the peaches you're able to can. All this doctrine means is that you don't need to feel guilty or worry about the peaches you can't can." It is true. If we are saved without doing our part to be righteous then Jesus Christ's sacrifice would just be a facilitator for sin. But on the opposite side, thinking that we will be saved by just our works and not needing his mercy is not right either. I love to know that my efforts are enough, even if it isn't perfect.

I have been able to walk without needing breaks! God is so good.

Have an awesome week everyone! If anyone has christian/gospel songs on the ukelele let me know!
