"It's Me Or The Dog!"

Good morning guys!

I took a Spanish test and I am now at an intermediate level! The gift of tounges is real and is a gift from God! Now I just gotta learn how to tell stories and share promised blessings. For all language missionaries ir those that are trying to learn the language of the gospel, it will come! I promise

Latino food is so good! I might have to make a cookbook of all of the things I have tried so far. Here's a list:

Tacos (not hard shell tacos, like actual tacos)

Mazapan

Choco flan

Arroz con leche

Pupilas

Agua de Jamaica

Mil Hojas

Ecuadorian food

Tenga

Posoles

Before my mission the only food rhat was remotely similar to Mexico was taco Bell. So, my new foods list is way better than where I started

We knocked on an inactive family's home and the reason why the father stopped going to church was because another family had an emotional support animal and it came to church with them. He didn't understand that the dog needed to be with the owner (plus this dog was so sweet and never said a word or bothered anyone). So then he kept asking us "the gospel is for humans! Not dogs! Would you rather choose me or the dog?" It was really interesting. The family with the dog moved so the Inactive family will be going back to church soon.

It's fall weather now and it is GLORIOUS!! High is 75 and lows have been around 65. Like my friend Micah (Sister Kirby) said, Boom, Blessing! I found a crazy big sunflower about the size of two adult heads.

Madain is back on Date! I am so excited for him! We decided to help him have more spiritual experiences (like walk around the temple, go to Stake conference, see another baptism) and he is really excited for his baptism now. He is having it October 1st at 4:30pm, right between General Conference sessions. It's going to be my first baptism!! I know I'm going to be tearing up I'm so excited to sew him enter the waters of baptism!

Does anyone know of a good quiche recipe? I have to cook food during the week now and my cooking skills are completely useless without a crock-pot

Ok I've got a spiritual thought that came from our district leader Elder Davies. It's from Mark 4 in the bible:

36 And when they had sent away the multitude, they took him even as he was in the ship. And there were also with him other little ships.

37 And there arose a great storm of wind, and the waves beat into the ship, so that it was now full.

38 And he was in the hinder part of the ship, asleep on a pillow: and they awake him, and say unto him, Master, carest thou not that we perish?

39 And he arose, and rebuked the wind, and said unto the sea, Peace, be still. And the wind ceased, and there was a great calm.

40 And he said unto them, Why are ye so fearful? how is it that ye have no faith?

41 And they feared exceedingly, and said one to another, What manner of man is this, that even the wind and the sea obey him?

So the 12 apostles were doing everything they could to keep the boat from sinking. After they did everything humanly possible to keep afloat, they turned to the only one that could change the storm around, Jesus Christ. He can do what we could never do! So as you have done everything you could do in this life and you are on the edge of your life crashing down on you, or maybe you are in spiritual storms, turn to the one that can calm your seas. He can do your impossible.

Sorry I see that this email became WAY too long so thanks for tuning in for my weekly email. Thank you so much!
