The Adversary Pushes People Off Of Roofs?

Hola Hermanos, Hermanas y Elderes!

I hope you have seen sunshine in your week today! God loves you <3

Alright let's start with this title. 2 people were supposed to be baptized this transfer. Madain canceled his baptism because he had a lot of bad feelings about it and his family made him worry that the ward was going to abandon him after his baptism. The other man, Hernando, he doesn't have a stable job and goes to Colorado to work and comes back at 6am Saturday morning so he pushed his baptism to this week. Please pray for Hernando that he can get his interview and be baptized this week! So as we told this to a workshop mentor she shared a story from his mission where a man was supposed to be baptized one week and the day before he lost balance and fell of the roof and went to the hospital and was in a cast for a while. I think it's just a testament that the adversary will do anything in its power to stop people from taking the right steps to make the covenants so that they can be with Heavenly Father.

Also, something to remember, the more you make the decision to not keep your covenants with the lord, the harder it is for the lord to help you come back. Take for example not going to church. You make that decision one Sunday, two, then a month, and you stop going altogether.  The opposite can be said though. The more you keep making that decision to go to church, after a month, a year, and many years after, it's a second nature to you to go to church. So keep making your covenants, keep trying your best, and the lord will help you!

We had a miracle happen on Sunday! We talked to this 91 year old devoted catholic named Marta Bedoya and she can see the church building from her lawn and as we shared a lesson about the Spirit, we invited her to church and tshe said she would go to church with us. Every new friend we make has said that they would go to church and they don't go. Every single one. So then we were at the gate and she opens the door, all in her Sunday clothes, ready to walk. It was a literal miracle and so insane!! She has such a sharp mind too and the fact that she made the decision to do that was something that really moved me.

We have a carnival coming up and we know how to make balloon animals, hats, and swords now :) check that off the bucket list of talents I didn't think I would ever learn lol

My companion told me about this hindi man who goes to pray on the grounds of the Ogden  temple because he feels a special presence there. 2 days later... guess who we see at Rancho Market!! He comes up to us, says hi and talks about how much he loves missionaries and the most awesome people at the temple. He takes a photo with us and we invite him to the Tabernacle! But unfortunately he does not know how to send photos so I don't have it. Sorry… I am not sure if missionaries are allowed to teach him but it is really cool to have a spirit of respect and love for others without forcing anything. We are only here to invite others to come unto christ, not sell the gospel.

My invitation to you guys is to wite down a way to better strengthen your relationship with Jesus Christ! Whether that is to read about him in the scriptures or watch the Chosen. He is our brother and he loves every one of us!
